HAY LAND

The Town of Franklin is soliciting bids for the haying of 18 acres for the calendar year 2018-2020 with a mutual lease agreement to be renewed each April for the 3 year term; bid to be on a per year basis. Bidder must follow their State of VT Nutrient Management Plan (NMP)

The property is located north of the Town Highway Garage. Sealed bids must be received at the Town Clerk’s office no later than 4:00 pm on May 15th; to be opened at the May 16th Selectboard meeting. For further information, call 285-2101

REQUEST FOR BIDS:

SIDEWALK PROJECT

 

Bid Description: 

The Town of Franklin is requesting bids for sidewalk upgrades on Main Street.  The work on this project includes constructing a new sidewalk, ADA pavement markings, signing and other incidental items as needed.  This project is funded by a VTrans small-scale bicycle and pedestrian grant.  Project must be completed by October 19, 2018. 

 

Scope:  begins on the East side of Main St at 5276 Main St (north of brook) and runs north approx. 400 ft to the Town Hall.  Please bid labor and materials separately. 

 

Specs: -five foot wide with ADA required crossings 

-connection to and crosswalk markings at Square Rd sidewalk junction 

-removal of old sidewalk and 16” of sub base and disposal 

-new 16” stone base-compaction 

-new 5” 4000 psi sidewalk with 20’ expansion joints 

-8” thick at driveways with rebar 

-labor, excavation, trucking 

-no tree removal to be done, root cutting only 

 

Sealed bids will be received until 4:00 pm on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 5167 Main St., Franklin, VT  05457 or mailed to Franklin Town Clerk, P O Box 82, Franklin, VT  05457.  Bids will be publicly opened at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 5167 Main St., Franklin, VT 05457 and bid amounts will be read aloud
